Wolverine gives Cyclops a big "EFF YOU!"

We know what happens after Schism and the Cyclops vs Wolverine throwdown. Two separate X-teams, two different leaders. All of this is going to happen because of a certain redhead chick that has done more for this franchise dead than alive (and yes, it was NEVER about using young mutants as soldiers in issue #4 of Schism).

What's funny about all of this? Is that even before the big event ends, we already know what Wolverine is going to do after all is said and done:

Give Cyclops a BIG middle finger.

How? Check out the preview images for Wolverine and the X-Men #1 after the jump.

After Schism: Uncanny X-Men and Wolverine & The X-Men #1 and #2 Covers

X-Men: Schism is drawing to a close and we already know what is going to happen after all is said and done. So here we go with the two covers for the first and second issues of what will be two separate X-Men teams: one led by Cyclops, and the other led by fan-favorite Wolverine.

First off, we have Uncanny X-Men #1 and 2. Looks like we got Mr. Sinister back in the rumble!

Latest Comic Book Reviews (07.19.2011): Wolverine #12 & American Vampire: Survival of the Fittest #2

I'm still intrigued with Aaron's Wolverine although has the same taste for 3 consecutive issues, and the team of Snyder and Murphy continues to impress me with their AV project that I'm wanting to see a live-action series or film based on the comic. *sigh* I can only dream.

Latest Comic Book Reviews (06.23.2011) - Wolverine #11 | Power Girl #25 | Superman #712

I'ma skip the daily news first and give some of my thoughts for comic books I read a couple of hours ago.

Wolverine continues his bloody battle against the Red Right Hand, and my beloved PeeGee teams up with the godddamn Batman against a weather-controlling metahuman, and finally, the Grounded storyline takes a one issue hiatus (mainly because DC decided to scrap the original storyline that features a Muslim superhero in LA), giving way for Kurt Busiek's "lost" Krypto tale, circa 2007 (a.k.a the events after Infinite Crisis).

All my reviews after the cut.

Regenesis: X-Men To Split After "Schism" Event In November

Marvel has announced that the "X-Men" will be divided into two groups (creatively describing it a "regenesis") as a result of Jason Aaron's "Schism" event - where Cyclops and Wolverine fight over irreconcilable ideological differences - and thus, two different X-books will be released that will pit the two teams against one another, with each group having their own headquarters, agendas, and rosters.

They are Uncanny X-Men #1 by writer Kieron Gillen and artists Greg Land and Carlos Pacheco and Wolverine and the X-Men #1 by Jason Aaron and Chris Bachalo.

Here's teaser with the official press release statement courtesy of Marvel.com and some thoughts following after the jump:
