Fan-Made "Fables" Movie Posters by Digitalrich

Fables is one of the hottest and most beloved comic books in recent memory due to its fun and twisted premise of putting our favorite fable characters  - such as Snow White, The Big Bad Wolf, Little Red Riding Hood, and Jack among others - literally, to life and make them live amongst human beings. It has garnered multiple critical acclaims and Eisner-awards to cemented itself as one of the best titles in the Vertigo line and comic books in general.

I have stopped reading Fables after issue #84, but I might be getting back on it after seeing these cool fan-made movie posters that were digitally manipulated to put artists such as Ryan Gosling, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and the lovely Zooey Deschanel into each popular Fables' shoes. I personally like the idea of Gosling as the janitor-turned-powerful Prince Flycatcher, and Dean Morgan as Bigby Wolf. Deschanel being Snow White doesn't work with me though.

Anyway, thanks to ComicsAlliance and Gamma Squad for featuring these, and especially to Digitalrich himself, who took the time to fulfill every fans dream of having a Fables-inspired film adaptation though his work.

Check to see more of these awesome photos after the cut.

'Hello Watchmen' Hits With A Lot Of Cuteness Courtesy of Joseph Senior

I have been keeping an eye on Joseph Senior aka yodaflicker's tumblr that features cute Hello Kitty mash-ups mainly because a Hello_Supergirl kitty could pop out anytime. I actually featured his works before (link here) Yeah, I've been patiently waiting for that . Haha. I think its gonna be good.

But for the meantime, he satisfied my Watchmen cravings with these incredible photoshop designs featuring our favorite 5 disgruntled ex-superheros/vigilantes who, in the comic book (written by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons), were forced to don their costumes again after one of them was brutally murdered as a part of a cataclysmic conspiracy plot. Now, they're all immortalized (once again) with the most popular feline in the world.

Check them out here and more after the jump.

Arguably the most popular Watchmen of all time. Rorschach (Walter Kovacs)

Venom vs Spidey - Pinoy Style!

Way back when I was a kid, we used to hunt spiders and put them inside matchboxes. We will nurture them and feed them until the big fight comes - when me and my friends will pit our beloved spiders for some good 'ol fashioned "spider-fighting" action. Yeah, we're pretty crazy. But I have to admit, it was fun to watch two spiders fight to the death until one emerges as the victor... and it even gets sweeter if there's money involved. Pretty high stakes.

Imagine Venom and Spidey going at it like that. It would definitely look something like... this:

Awww... they're cute aren't they?

Dark Knight Rises Fan-Made Posters Pack Some Serious Badassery

Its a shame sometimes that fan-made posters are way better than the official posters for specific movies. Creating bad-ass movie posters before much-anticipated films are released has already become a trend and such is the case for Christopher Nolan's upcoming third Batman film.

Our friends from geektyrant.com shows these two magnificent unofficial posters featuring the backs of Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy (which I think is really WWE wrestler Rey Mysterio).Created by contributors El Gato and Ryan Luck respectively (don't forget to say thank you to these guys!):

"I'm bringing Sexyback. Meow!"

Admit it: You would have thought this is a Rey Mysterio poster if it wasn't for the bat-logo.

The film will star Christian Bale as Batman, Gary Oldman as Comissioner Jim Gordon, Michael Caine as Alfred, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, and Joseph Gordon Levitt (unknown role as of now) and is set for a July 20, 2012 release.
