Now, this is something newsworthy (other than the DC reboot of course).
Our friends from ComicsAlliance got the latest scoop on the newest Spiderman series to be released on November titled "Avenging Spider-Man" to be written scribe Zeb Wells and art by comic book and video-game artist, Joe Maduereira.
According to the press release, this series is going to focus on a more action-packed and high-octane style of storytelling as opposed to the often dragging, soap-opera one, as evidenced by the following images courtesy of Marvel.com.
The images has the Red Hulk, Wolverine, Spider-Woman and other members of the superteam Avengers teaming up with Spidey, which is going to be the recurring motif for the whole series.
I think this is going to be one bad-ass series full of web-swinging action, "pows!", "kapows" and the occassional "snikt!" each and every month. Fans love dynamic and well-drawn action sequences, and from what I have seen from the preview images - Maduereira has got that covered. We're in for a very good treat guys.
Head over to ComicsAlliance for the complete press conference transcript and be sure to check the awesome sketches by Joe M. after the cut.
